About Our New Academic Center
  • The Center is an innovative approach to higher education, with one-stop student services aligning existing educational institutions to create an academic partnership.
  • The 68-acre site for the campus is leased from the City of Fredericksburg with facilities owned and operated by the Texas Hill Country University Center Foundation (UCF).
  • The $5.5 million academic center building, which opened for the 2010 summer semester, includes four state-of-the-art classrooms, the H-E-B Community Events Center, science wing and lab, computer laboratory, library, student lounge and campus bookstore, and faculty support space for a total of 24,000 square feet.
  • This dedicated facility will make it possible to expand curriculum, increase enrollment and attract additional educational partners.
  • The new academic center is a community asset, used for club meetings, civic gatherings, private social functions, and lifelong learning opportunities for seniors and others in the surrounding region.
